Principal UX Director of eCommerce

As Principal UX Design Director of eCommerce, Liz leads user experience and design efforts for pxg.com, working alongside many talented team members, striving to evolve the site customer journey and influence the importance the role of UX can play.

  • Develop and influence a UX practice across the pxg.com customer journey and collective product organization

  • Influence mobile first approach – page layout redesigns across pxg.com for mobile optimization

  • Align global Design System components within Figma to ensure elements are streamlined and utilized by design team and built by development for consistent usage

  • Perform UX research activities utilizing CrazyEgg and Usability Hub – sharing out key insights to eCommerce leadership as well as testing and validating design concepts and ideas with participants
    Design recommendations and page layout for landing page strategy

  • Hands on design and influence across various aspects of the customer journey: home page, landing pages, email templates, locations, cart, checkout, customer account, club rentals

As Creative Director of the UX/UI team, Liz leads a team of talented designers and writers who are working on a variety of University products and experiences from the online application, to the marketing website, to student experience.

A few notable projects her team focuses on:

  • Managed team of 20+ UX/UI Designers and UX Writers

  • phoenix.edu redesign with partner agency Critical Mass

  • Brand evolution – evaluating color palette, typography, photography plus bringing new elements into the brand such as illustration and storytelling graphics

  • Creation of a design system that can be applied to each website or product for a consistent look and feel

  • The evolvement of the phoenix.edu mega nav

  • Small incremental enhancements to the online application process

  • MyPhoenix 2.0 – the new student portal

  • Developing and implementing an organizational UX process and practice

  • UX leadership for an organization evolution to product-centric culture

Liz has worked with various types of businesses from the sports to the luxury real estate to fashion bloggers to the wine industry by providing creative consultancy for expertise, ideas, and solutions in preparing printable and digital design. Liz strives to guide clients towards business goals by creating a holistic brand experience.

Through this role, Liz had the opportunity to lead the design team to enhance the interface of the phoenix.edu website.

  • Implementing the new Tuition Guarantee

  • Reimagining program pages to incorporate a better flow of content and UOPX Alumnae

  • Designing a program finder to guide users to a possible degree they’d be interested in pursuing

  • Providing the dev team with style updates to work towards a more consistent look and feel


Senior UX/UI Design Lead

Liz had the opportunity to join the UOPX team to lead and support a team of talented UX designers by focusing on improving applications and web experiences for current and future students, alumni, faculty, partners and employees.

A few notable projects her team focused on:

  • Mobile first, user friendly student portal exploration, execution and testing

  • Enhancement to financial and academic plans within the student portal

As an Art Director with Sitewire, Liz had the opportunity to work with large brands to help push their digital presence. Projects included design thinking, brand discovery, customer journey mapping workshops, brand design, web design, social media design, or email marketing.

Brands included Aetna, GolfNow, Golf Channel, Kroger, Lewis Group of Companies, PGi, Sage, Ryland Homes, LOCTITE, Harry Walker Agency, WeeWork for Good, Sophos, Valley of the Sun United Way, and OhioHealth.
